The Reflash program requires Microsoft’s .NET Framework v4.0. If this is not present on the PC that you are using it will either be automatically be downloaded (internet connection required) or take you to the Microsoft web‐site (depending on your OS). It may take a while to install the framework. A reboot may be required after installing the framework at which point the Reflash Setup program should re‐start automatically. Additionally Microsoft’s Visual Studio run‐time library is required. It will also be automatically downloaded (or prompted) if not present.

Run the installer and follow the installation instructions. The application will be installed on your start menu under a “Cognisys” folder.Mac users:

Run the package installer and follow the installation instructions. The application will be on your Launchpad.Extract the files to a directory and run the “setup.exe”.
Before executing the installer make sure that StackShot is not powered and not connected to the PC via the USB cable

Press and hold the “CONFIG” button while inserting the power plug into the StackShot unit.

At this point, the display should have two bars across it and the backlighting should be flashing on and off. If this does not happen, unplug the unit and repeat step 2. Release the “CONFIG” button.

Insert the USB cable into StackShot.

Run the “Reflash” program installed under Start‐>Cognisys‐>Reflash‐>Reflash

You should now see the following:

Click the “Read Info” button. If the program responds with “Reflash cable not found”, be sure that StackShot is plugged into the PC. If it responds with “Target did not respond”, be sure the cable is connected to StackShot and that the backlighting is blinking. At this point you should see text similar to the following:
- Click the “Open File” button and select the update that was e‐mailed to you. Once you select the file it may take a couple of seconds to process it. If the file was read properly, the “Reflash” button will become visible.
- Click the “Reflash” button to begin the reprogramming process. Do not remove power or unplug the USB cable during reprogramming.
- At the end of the reprogramming, you will see text similar to the following:
