Macropod Petrographic is a petrographic microscope workflow for geoscientists, mineralogists, educators, and labs imaging geological thin sections. The system may not look like a conventional microscope because it uses a rigid Macropod capture architecture, transmitted and polarized light, microscope objectives, focus stacking, and a camera-first digital imaging workflow to produce substantially higher quality petrographic records.
