Canon lens selection guide

Start with RF/RF-S lenses, then use EF, macro, adapters, and extenders where the workflow requires them.

RF and RF-S lenses are the primary current choice for EOS R bodies. EF lenses, EF macro lenses, and EF-to-RF adapters still matter when a lab has existing optics, specialty macro needs, or a legacy capture workflow that should remain compatible.
