Image license terms
Clear usage rights for scientific image downloads.
Macroscopic Solutions image licenses are non-exclusive digital-use permissions for science communication, education, research publication, exhibits, and approved commercial projects. Copyright and underlying image ownership remain with Macroscopic Solutions unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Permitted use
- Use the licensed image in the approved project, publication, exhibit, class, presentation, website, report, or commercial context covered by the purchased tier.
- Resize, crop, color-balance, annotate, or place labels on the image when needed for layout, education, accessibility, or figure preparation.
- Share final flattened layouts such as PDFs, slides, printed panels, journal figures, and web pages that include the licensed image.
Not permitted
- Do not resell, sublicense, redistribute, upload to stock libraries, train public image datasets, or provide the source file as a reusable asset.
- Do not claim the image, specimen, reconstruction, or capture workflow as your own original photography.
- Do not use images for unlawful, misleading, defamatory, unsafe, or deceptive contexts.
Attribution
Use "Image courtesy of Macroscopic Solutions" or "Copyright Macroscopic Solutions" when credits are practical. Journal, museum, classroom, and editorial style guides may adapt the wording as long as Macroscopic Solutions is credited.
Delivery and review
Image downloads are digital products. Extended commercial, unusual distribution, high-volume reproduction, merchandising, packaging, advertising, and sensitive subject uses may require written quote review before use.

For commercial campaigns, exhibit packages, multiple-image bundles, special image preparation, commissioned capture, or institutional licensing, request a quote so usage, delivery, and credit language can be confirmed in writing.
