    Staff-authored common question
This generalized question is based on recurring support conversations. It is not a customer quotation, and identifying details have been removed.

Which dimensions and imaging requirements most directly determine the right system, lens, and objective?

    Macroscopic Solutions Support answer
This staff-authored guidance is generalized. Project-specific and private details should be handled through direct support.

Record the largest sample dimensions, the smallest feature that must be resolved, the desired field of view, required working clearance, surface reflectivity, depth, and whether the sample can be moved. Also estimate daily volume and final output. Those facts distinguish a flexible Macropod, Micro Kit, CoreScan, Petrographic, MacroBox, or done-for-you service workflow more reliably than magnification alone.
