    Staff-authored common question
This generalized question is based on recurring support conversations. It is not a customer quotation, and identifying details have been removed.

What must remain consistent when each photogrammetry viewpoint is produced from a focus stack?

    Macroscopic Solutions Support answer
This staff-authored guidance is generalized. Project-specific and private details should be handled through direct support.

Yes, when every viewpoint is stacked independently and the subject, camera relationship, crop, and output dimensions stay consistent. Use enough source frames to avoid soft bands, inspect halos and retouching artifacts, and keep one final stacked image per viewpoint. Reconstruction quality still depends on overlap and surface detail, so stacking improves depth of field but does not replace a sound capture pattern.
