A configured Micro Kit specifies the Mitutoyo objective appropriate to the stated sample and feature range. For a custom range or later expansion, select magnification from the smallest feature that must be resolved and the field that must fit in one frame, then confirm working distance, numerical aperture, adapter, and illumination clearance. Higher magnification usually narrows the field and working clearance, so the highest number is not automatically the best choice.
