The 10th North American Paleontological Convention
Last month, from February 15-18, Macroscopic Solutions exhibited their high resolution imaging device and techniques at the highly anticipated North American Paleontological Convention in Gainesville, Florida! Because this event takes place only once every 4-5 years, it attracts professional paleontologists and enthusiasts from all over the world. This year, over 500 people flocked to the University of Florida Hilton Conference Center from 26 different countries. The Paleontological Society administered the convention, having arranged a wide variety of sessions focused on new research topics and techniques within the multiple disciplines of paleontology. This convention enhanced communication between professionals
and enthusiasts, while bridging the gaps that exist between scientific disciplines.
Macroscopic Solutions attracted the majority of attendees to their booth, displayed their imaging device, the Macropod, explained its functions, and captured several great images. Luckily, many of the attendees were carrying some of their favorite fossils, and had them imaged by Macroscopic Solutions. You can view many of these images here.
